Start with decision-critical data
For route planning, valid coordinates, service duration, time window, availability and skill are often critical. Classify which fields block a proposal, which warn and which inform. The team first addresses errors that can genuinely create an unsafe or unworkable plan.
Validate at entry
Normalise addresses, detect impossible time intervals, prevent expired qualifications and mark conflicting sources before the planning run. Keep the original value and source alongside a correction. A planner must see why something is uncertain rather than being forced to trust a silent system fix.
Make repair part of the process
Send errors to a queue with impact, owner and deadline. Measure recurring causes by source and repair the entry process or integration, not only the individual record. Allow a reasoned temporary override when operations would otherwise stop and expire it once the source is corrected.
