Plan patient transport round trips

7 min read

A return trip depends on the appointment, vehicle, assistance and an uncertain finish. Plan trip pairs as one assignment and show alternatives before confirmation.

Capture a schedulable request

Keep requested service, location, frequency, duration, earliest start, deadline, required skill and contact agreements together. Mark what still needs validation. An incomplete request may exist as a draft but should not silently enter the schedule as a final assignment.

Test real marginal capacity

An empty calendar hour is not automatically capacity. Calculate travel from and to surrounding visits, check area, skill and continuity and show which existing appointments come under pressure. Compare another window or neighbouring team so intake can agree responsibly.

Separate proposal from care decision

Software can show suitable openings and consequences, but an authorised professional assesses content, urgency and whether an alternative is acceptable. Keep that confirmation and agreed start. It remains clear why a request was scheduled, changed or referred.
